ONGOING EXHIBITIONS

Over the years, Arazzeria Scassa has participated in the realisation of numerous exhibitions, as the organiser or in collaboration with various figures operating in the cultural field. These events were always of broad national and international resonance, linked not only to the world of art in the most classic sense but also to the field of top-level manufacturing excellence. The art of tapestry – albeit well known and documented over the centuries by numerous and famous works – is still in some respects to be revealed. It preserves the gift of excitement perhaps precisely because it is an unexpected discovery for some visitors. For us, this union between contemporary art and tapestry represents the norm, the very essence of our existence, but for many it is an innovation, of great interest and fascination.

In the future, there will undoubtedly be new exhibitions, new occasions for meeting. It was so as not to miss out on this important connection with the world of enthusiasts, collectors and connoisseurs that Arazzeria Scassa participated in a series of online events during 2020. The pandemic – currently underway as we write these lines – was not conducive to events taking place in person, but that did not stop us from spending time in each other’s company. During the numerous online encounters, Massimo Bilotta was on hand to give conferences, ranging from the more exquisitely historical-artistic themes to online visits of the atelier, allowing those connected to observe the works on the frames and some of the pieces safeguarded at the Certosa di Valmanera. They were exhilarating encounters, enjoyed with a great deal of participation and despite the distance separating us, it was possible to share a significant part of our work and the artistic heritage we safeguard. It will be our duty, in the good times to come, to keep everyone constantly updated on what we are planning, publishing on this page the various exhibition activities.

Arazzeria Scassa is set to be part of the exhibition Nino Zoncada, da Monfalcone al Mondo, from February to April 2021.

The exhibition will be held in the venues of the Gallery of Contemporary Art and the MuCa in Monfalcone, presenting a new collection of naval furnishings, photographs and notes, with the aim of narrating the history of extraordinary designers, enriched with artistic sensitivity paired with constructive rigour. The exhibition is curated by Giulia Norbedo and Giulio Princic.
